Circular 18: Typographic Circle

Who should we watch out for as an up-and-coming type designer?
I always look for three things: Craft and the desire to perfect work. Hunger to be better, a willingness to be restless in that pursuit. Then the confidence to have their own voice and approach. | Simon Dixon, Dixon Baxi

Circular is the members magazine of The Typographic Circle, the non-profit, all-volunteer organisation for anyone with an interest in type and typography.

In addition to co-editing the issue, I interviewed the speakers of our ‘Five big names in type’ evening about the place of type design and typography in the design industry.

Circular is designed by Pentagram’s Domenic Lippa and Jeremy Kunze. Circular 18 has an almost entirely typographic design, in contrast to Circular 17.

The publication has been positively reviewed in Creative Review and on It’s Nice That.
